The certification
It’s an independent testing system for textiles. Every component of a certified article is checked against limit values for substances known to be harmful, things like formaldehyde, certain dyes, heavy metals and pesticide residues.
There are four product classes, set by how much the article touches skin. Wovly is certified under Product Class I, the class written for baby and toddler articles. It carries the strictest limit values of the four.
That’s the whole claim. It says nothing about carbon, water or land use, and we won’t stretch it to mean that. It says the wool going into your dryer has been checked for harmful substances against the toughest threshold the standard has.
